Retraining and Professional Development
Shortened programs (3.5 years) of retraining specialists in the field of public administration, law and economics are offered by the Department of Extended (Second) Higher Professional Education. The Department provides an opportunity to obtain new qualifications for career-oriented specialists who already have diplomas of higher education. Annually, the department retrains about 1000 students.
The Institute of Professional Development offers training of in-service officials, executives and specialists of all branches of the national economy in more than 60 short-term, mid-term and long-term programs of professional development, including distance-learning courses.
Since 1998, the Institute has been implementing the President’s program “Manager of the XXI Century” which focuses on retraining administrative personnel and enhancing the effectiveness of mid-career and senior managers of commercial and non-profit organizations of the Saratov Region.
The Business Training Center/Morozov Project holds workshops and offers courses focused on placing government orders, electronic auctions on governmental purchases, on training of trustees in bankruptcy, etc. for employees of public sector entities.
